Hello, my name’s Steph, and along with my partner Chris, I’m the owner of Freedom For Paws secure dog field.

Firstly, a quick mention for our dog, Alfie, who is 13 years young. Last year, we thought we were going to lose him due to a cancerous lump on his leg, but after a very invasive operation, he made full recovery and went on to win Golden Oldie at the Smallwood Vintage Rally fun dog show, making me and Chris very emotional.

If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t have gone into a career with dogs, so you could say he’s the founder of my dog walking business and therefore Freedom For Paws! He definitely rules the roost and is our managing director!

Secondly, a mention for my partner Chris, who has helped and supported me through my journey of setting up Freedom For Paws.

Lastly, a bit about me. I have owned my own dog-walking business for over 10 years, and as time has gone by, it has become apparent to me that there simply aren’t enough safe places in the local area for dogs to run free off-lead and have fun.

Having owned my own dogs and walked other people’s dogs for many years, I recognise the importance of dogs running naturally and being free. After all, a lead walk isn’t enough for a descendant of a wolf to burn off that excess energy!

I made it my mission, and worked hard and saved for many years, to purchase a property with some land for my dog and my clients’ dogs to enjoy a space to run, safe from any dangers. I then thought that I’d love to share that opportunity with like-minded dog owners and businesses.
